Emily Howorth has published short stories in Boulevard, Washington Square Review, PANK, Wigleaf, The Southeast Review, New Madrid, and other journals. Her story “The Vivarium Monarchs” won the 2011 Washington Square Review fiction award, judged by David Lipsky, and her story “The Sintering” was the runner-up in Boulevard’s 2012 short fiction contest for emerging writers.
Emily earned an MFA at Texas State University-San Marcos and a BA at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. She lives in Oxford, Mississippi, with her husband, children, and dog, and works as a teacher and writer at the University of Mississippi.
